TM Italia closes 2020 with the turnover increased by 17% thanks to rewarding commercial and digital strategies

We are pleased to communicate that TM Italia closed 2020 with very positive results despite the difficulties caused by the international health emergency.

Turnover in 2020 recorded an increase of 17% in comparison with 2019, reaching over € 4,000 K.

International markets share stands for 60% (50% in 2019) with UK and USA making up the largest part. Due to sharp decline in the retail market in these markets, TM Italia compensated with a greater incidence of the Contract and Supplies sector, equal to 70% of the total.

“We are really proud of the results achieved in such a complicated year especially for SMEs like TM Italia. We had to review our strategies in a very short time, not only to survive the crisis, but above all to overcome it”, – says Gianluca Tondi, CEO of TM Italia.
Thanks to the streamlined structure and an efficient decision-making chain, we immediately intervened on two fronts: a commercial strategy closer to the needs of our network, a digital strategy to demonstrate to all our interlocutors our vitality and reactivity in providing solutions and tools in response to reduced mobility”.

Sinergies and relationships are the keys for TM Italia

In fact, the commercial strategy aimed at consolidating the relations with the stores and promoting synergy with design studios to intercept contract and residential projects, especially international ones. New commercial partnerships have also been defined: in Korea, with an exhibition in Seoul that will soon give light to three important kitchens and a Skylab; in China, with an exhibition in Beijing; in the USA, with an upcoming exhibition in New York and new commercial partnerships in Miami. We are also working on the Netherlands, with an important single-brand store in Amsterdam that we plan to close shortly.

Skylab, the digital project by TM Italia grows: the Stargates

From a digital point of view, the creation of the Skylab project has allowed us to remain in touch not only with retailers but also with mainly international architects and designers. In fact, more than 120 virtual meetings were held from June to December, most of which with international interlocutors.
Designed to be a multifunctional tool, Skylab offers the possibility of: sharing project files, analyzing possible alternative solutions together, exploring the TM Italia material library, composing mood boards of materials and colours, accessing photographic archives, experimenting home automation applications, viewing products , constantly train the sales force. All with the live assistance of TM Italia specialized staff.

In TM Italia stores we are implementing “Stargates”, functional replicas of the Skylab that will allow for ever greater connection and interaction with the Headquarters, especially for the development of important projects.

The company has also contributed to faster digitization of the sales network in project management by offering free tools such as: 3D design software, continuous training, online support, chatbox and all the tools to intensify the relationship through various media.

A Golden Year for TM Italia

In 2020 TM Italia obtained two awards, important acknowledgments of a winning repositioning and reorganization process:

The Compasso D’Oro – ADI for the Rua kitchen – design Ruadelpapavero. The prestige of this important award has contributed to greater the brand credibility and authority among the main interlocutors;

The first place in the Manufacturing SMEs category of the Confindustria competition “Best performer of the circular economy 2019/2020. A competition organized by Confindustria rewarding good business practices and promoting the circular economy. A prestigious award for TM Italia’s green vocation by paying always attention to virtuous initiatives that aim at respecting the environment.
