“Design Convivium“, a series of 4 events aimed to share experience and inspirations conducted by Giulia Guzzini (Domus), continues.
During the second meeting on Thursday 7 Novembre at 6:30 p.m. in ViaLarga3, Milan, Michael Geldmacher will talk about the genesis of the two iconic chairs.
Designed by Neuland studio for Kristalia, these two iconic chairs take their name from the animal world, for the analogies of their structure with the bodies of the elephant and the shark.
“In one of the first drawings made for Elephant we noticed a resemblance with the dorsal spine of an elephant, hidden but recognisable under the surface. Hence the idea that the structure of the chair, made of thin steel tubes and covered with leather or fabric, was visible to represent the back of the pachyderm,” says the German designer.
ViaLarga3 is an aggregative space of elective affinities: a project of 4 companies united by the same vision of the market supported by the commercial experience of Mauri&Mauri.
A dynamic, flexible, open, cross-media, inter-connected, aggregative space. This is our “hub” model of the store: an incubator of projectual skills, which goes beyond traditional sales models thanks to the added value of flexibility, selection, qualified consultancy, direct connection with companies.
During the next “Design Convivium” event on November 28 at 6.30pm., Ruadelpapavero will talk about the RUA project that has been awarded “ADI Design Index 2019”.
